State governments and local authorities have been urged by the police to stop issuing family entertainment licences.

May 27, 2017

State governments and local authorities have been urged by the police to stop issuing family entertainment licences.

The IGP says this is beacuse there were too many cases of operators abusing the licences to turn the family entertainment centres into gambling dens.

Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar says it's not fair to only blame the police in the prevention of gambling activities when the local authorities issued the entertainment licences and also had legal provisions to stop them.
