More than 50 percent of taxi users in Malaysia use e-hailing apps.

Jul 27, 2017

More than 50 percent of taxi users in M'sia use e-hailing apps, but only 14 percent of cabbies used the same service to obtain passengers.

As such, Minister in the PM's dept, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri says more cabbies should take advantage of the apps to boost their business.

She also said e-hailing services should be permitted to operate as intermediary services, while tabling the Land Public Transport (Amendment) Bill 2017 for the 2nd reading in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.
