Police are looking into the data leak of over 46 million mobile numbers in Malaysia.

The IGP told the NST it's a joint operation with the M'sian Communications and Multimedia Commission, as the case is quite complicated.

This comes after Lowyat.net reported an individual trying to sell the leaked data on its forums 2 weeks ago.

It also claims 3 databases belonging to the M'sian Medical Council, M'sian Medical Association and M'sian Dental Association have been leaked.
