Feb 01, 2018

The 14-year-old girl in Penang who tried to kill herself after being accused of stealing her teacher's phone has died.

She passed away in the wee hours of the morning after being in a coma for several days.

The Form 2 student was interrogated by her teacher for several hours after the phone went missing, but she denied the theft.

In her suicide note, the youngest of 4 siblings said she did not want to cause her family any more trouble.
