The Election Commission's redelineation exercise will be tabled and debated in Parliament today despite an injunction against it.

The redelineation has a pending lawsuit at the Shah Alam High Court, and an Opposition lawmaker said it would be sub judice to debate the issue in Parliament.

But Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia says if the subjudice rule was applied to liberally, Parliament won't get anything done.

Seperately, an activist has admitted to leaking the redelineation report, and offered to pay the 1,000 ringgit fine, but the speaker refused.
