Govt cancels ECRL project.

The govt has decided to cancel the East Coast Rail Link and the Sabah gas pipeline projects for now.

PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says he had relayed the matter to China and they understand the problems faced by our country.

The PM says the priority for now is to settle loans and debts incurred by the previos administration.

Meanwhile, M'sia has inked an agreement with China to produce palm oil-based products.

On another matter, Tun M says the Council of Eminent Persons will NOT be dissolved as it is still needed.
