Sep 27, 2018

UMNO Back In The Government?

UMNO has been negotiating with Pakatan Harapan's component parties, to form a unity government.

President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi told the NST there's no time frame to the plan, but is hoping the unity government can be formed before Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim becomes Prime Minister.

Zahid was responding to rumours that UMNO decided not to contest in the Port Dickson by-election to give Anwar an easier path to parliament.

If UMNO succeeds in enticing PKR or PPBM to join it, the former ruling party will be back in government before GE15.

Datin Seri Rosmah Endures Marathon MACC Grilling

Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said she's O.K, after a 13-hour marathon grilling by the MACC yesterday.

She went in at 10am and only emerged at around 11pm.

She was reportedly allowed to leave at 6.30pm, but refused because she did not want to return for a second round of questioning today.

Seperately, a Dubai jeweller is claiming over 20 million ringgit worth of seized jewellery seized by the police, which they claim they had hand-delivered to Rosmah.

According to MalaysiaKini, the company says it was even allowed to bring in the custom necklaces and earrings without going through customs or immigration.
