JB bike crash: Charges delayed
Mar 19, 2017
Authorities have delayed charging the 22-year-old driver accused of killing a group of 8 teenaged cyclists in last month's car crash in JB.
Her lawyer told Oriental Daily, she was supposed to be charged today under the Road Transport Act, but proceedings have been postponed until further notice.
Earlier, sources said she could be charged with reckless driving leading to death, which carries a maximum penalty 10 years in prison and a 20 thousand ringgit fine upon conviction.
