MCMC wants tougher penalties for those spreading fake news.

The Msian Communications and Multimedia Commission wants tougher penalties for those spreading fake news. 
Its CEO says, the fine should go up TEN-FOLD to half a million ringgit, and the jail sentence increased from one year to TEN. 
This, after the govt set up a special committee to draft new laws to curb fake news.
