Southampton beat Liverpool

Southampton have beaten Liverpool 1-0 for a narrow advantage in their League Cup semi-final tie.

Saints forward Nathan Redmond scored the only goal of the match in the 1st-leg match at St. Mary's.

Philippe Coutinho made his return from injury as a substitute after the hour mark, but couldn't make a difference for the Reds.

The 2nd leg will be played at Anfield on January 25th.
