No dental care fee hike for 3rd class patients and outpatients

Feb 07, 2017

The Health Ministry has reiterated that 3rd class patients and outpatients will not face a hike in dental care fees.

This follows false allegations that have again surfaced online.

The ministry clarified 3rd class and outpatients will still only be charged 2 ringgit for scaling, teeth polishing, dental fillings and 1 ringgit for tooth extraction.

Rumours about price hikes in government hospitals have been rife, ever since the government announced on 1st February that it was reviewing charges for 1st and 2nd class patients.
