Malaysians kidnapped by militants, freed

2 of the 5 Malaysian sailors who were kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf militants last July, were rescued by Philippine forces in an operation earlier today.

The Philippine military also said no ransom was paid for their release.

The 3 other Malaysian captives are believed to be held by another Abu Sayaff sub-commander, who is still on the run.
