48 flights in and out of Sibu Airport cancelled

48 flights in and out of the Sibu Airport have been cancelled, affecting more than 3,700 passengers.

This, after a Malaysia Airlines plane from KL skidded while landing there last night, during a heavy downpour.

Operations at the Sibu Airport was originally scheduled to resume at 10 this morning, but is now only expected to resume at 8 tonight, due to delays in removing the aircraft.

Meanwhile, investigations are also still ongoing on the cause of the incident, in which no one was injured.
