Suspected abuse victim passes away
Apr 26, 2017
The Health Ministry is waiting for a full medical report on the death of the 11-year-old religious school student in Kota Tinggi, who died after allegedly being abused.
The Ministry told the NST authorities need to investigate if the boy had suffered from other health problems which could have aggravated his condition.
The 11-year-old lost both his legs due to a bacterial infection as a result of the injuries sustained, and he was also scheduled to have his arm amputated today, before his condition took a turn for the worse.
Meanwhile, Sinar Harian reports that the boy's family will consider legal action, if it's proven that his death was caused by abuse at the school.
This, as the assistant warden of the religous school, who allegedly abused the boy, has been remanded for a further three days to assist investigations.
