Police believe suicide bomber caused Manchester concert explosion
May 23, 2017
UK police believe a suicide bomber caused the deadly explosion at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester this morning, killing 22 people including children.
Nearly 60 others were injured.
Authorities say they can confirm that the attacker died at the scene, although they've yet to reveal his identity.
They're also trying to determine if the bomber acted alone, or was part of a network.
Counter-terrorism police also are appealing for photos and videos taken at the scene of the incident to help with the investigation.
This, as authorities in London said police presence will be increased in the British capital today, as a precaution.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian High Commissioner to the UK told The Star, that three Malaysian students who are known to have gone for the concert, are safe.
The Higher Education Ministry adds that there've been no other reports of our students there affected by the blast.
And the Foreign Ministry says it will continue to keep an eye on the situation there, with Malaysians living in Manchester urged to remain vigilant.
