Those stranded due to faulty Langkawi SkyCab, rescued

All passengers and staff of Langkawi SkyCab, who were left stranded at the peak of Gunung Machinchang yesterday, have been brought down safely.

More than 80 passengers were stranded in 16 gondola lifts for about 4 hours.

Even after being rescued, they were stuck on the mountain top with more than a thousand other people, while waiting for the faulty bearing to be fixed. 

Meanwhile, the cable car service will not operate today, so that the incident can be investigated.
