More arrests expected as cops probe the smuggling of Bangladeshi nationals

More arrests could be made soon, as police continue to investigate the smuggling of Bangladeshi nationals through the KL International Airport.

The deputy IGP says his men have already identified several Bangladeshi nationals who are believed to be involved with the syndicates, that are operating between the two countries.

This, following reports that up to 600 Immigration staff were transferred out of KLIA, on suspicion of being involved in the smuggling activities.

Seven people, including Immigration staff, have already been detained as part of the probe.
