Scammers claiming to be from Shah Alam police station

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be an officer with the Shah Alam police station asking for money, it's probably a scam.

In the past 2 months police have received 54 reports of the scam, but no one has lost any money yet.

The bogus cop would tell his victims they've been implicated in an accident or court case, and had to pay money to settle the cases.

The Shah Alam police chief has reminded the public that the police don't make calls like that.
