Singapore checkpoints to require thumb-print scans
Sep 25, 2017
People arriving and departing through Singapore's Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints by car, will soon have their thumb-prints scanned at immigration counters.
The move has already been implemented for bus travellers and cargo vehicles, but will now be expanded to cover cars as well, as part of a trial.
Those aged six and above will have to go through the security clearance.
