Aug 10, 2017

The Education Ministry has clarified, that it is not compulsory for students to bring their own gadgets like tablets to school.

It says these devices will merely be used as a suplementary measure for reference work, to make teaching and learning more interactive.

The Ministry adds that current methods of teaching will continue, adding that the gadgets will only be used for about two hours a day.

This, after the ministry gave its approval for devices like tablets to be brought to school next year, although smartphones will remain banned.
