Health Ministry will probe license application for private dialysis centres

Aug 09, 2017

The Health Ministry will investigate allegations about the dificult license application and renewal process for privately-run dialysis centres.

Its been claimed that those operating these centres face a hard time fixing appointments with Ministry officers, who have to inspect the centres in person before approving the license.

There are also claims that the license procedures are controlled like a cartel, by some officers who are involved in the process.

This has apparently led to several private dialysis centres operating with expired licenses.

The Ministry says it takes these allegations very seriously, and will look into the matter.
