Higher MRT frequency in the future

Jul 18, 2017

MRT passengers can look forward to higher train frequency, and even Wifi service on board.

Prasarana says this is part of its plans to improve the ride-experience in the future, based on the feedback given by commuters.

Meanwhile, the government wants the MRT system and KTM's Komuter to have an integrated ticketing system by the end of the year.

The Transport Ministry says both parties need to have in-depth talks on how to achieve this, especially since both systems are operated by different companies.

Currently, passengers can travel to any MRT, LRT or monorail station under a single payment system, allowing for seamless travel between these services.
