Goods under SST to be reviewed, once government receives more feedback

The government will review the list of goods affeted by SST by the end of the year. 

The Finance Ministry says, it will get feedback and opinions from people about the list of taxable goods.  

It will then conduct a study on whether to add or remove items from the list.

KKMM to address SST on prepaid reloads soon

The Communications and Multimedia Ministry is aware of the issue of SST being charged on mobile prepaid reload cards.

It says it will issue a statement on the matter soon.

It was responding to complaints that from mobile phone users, who found out that the final value of their prepaid reloads was less due to the deduction of SST.

Jho Low tries to block "defamatory" 1MDB books

Jho Low is trying to block two books on 1MDB from being published. 

His lawyers say while they have yet to read copies of the books, they assume that the manuscripts will repeat quote "defamatory accusations" end quote against the financier. 

The books were written by a Wall Street Journal reporter, and Sarawak Report's Clare Rewcastle-Brown.

Police hunt down bikers who stabbed disabled man in Jeram

Police have launched a manhunt for a group of motorbikers, accused of stabbing a disabled man in Jeram, Selangor early Friday morning.

The 35-year-old victim was reportedly attacked, after he scolded the bikers for revving their motorcycles loudly. 

Meanwhile, cops have urged people to not stir up racial tensions over the incident.
