Additional 200 ringgit for Penang flood victims

Each Penang household affected by the floods in the state earlier this month, will receive a one-off payment of 700 ringgit instead of the 500 ringgit.

The state government says the additional 200 ringgit, will be funded by donations received under the Penang Bangkit programme.

However, the 700 ringgit aid will be disbursed by this year, after the 400 ringgit one-off payment for the September flood victims are paid out.
