40% drop in cross-border car smuggling cases

Cooperation between PDRM and their Thai counterparts has resulted in a 40% drop in cross-border car smuggling cases.
Bukit Aman says a Malaysian car-jacking syndicate has been using Thailand as a transit point to smuggle stolen vehicles into Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
The cops add that efforts are also underway to track down the Malaysian leader of the syndicate.
