Novak Djokovic advances to 2nd round in Australian Open

Six-time champion Novak Djokovic has advanced to the second round of the Australian tennis Open, beating American Donald Young in three sets.

This, as Stan Wawrinka beat Ricardas Berankis on his return from six-month injury layoff.

Earlier, former world No.3 Milos Raonic crashed out in the opening round, after losing to an unseeded opponent from Slovakia.

Meanwhile, in the women's draw, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber, Maria Sharapova, Johanna Konta and Karolina Pliskova all advanced to the second round.
