PDRM to conduct drug tests on new applicants

PDRM will conduct hair sample tests for new applications into the force, to detect possible drug abuse among new recruits.

The tests will be conducted starting next year, with the help of a private company.

The cops say they're taking the matter seriously, since there have been over 2,700 cases of police personnel being involved in drugs over the past seven years.
