First Parliament sitting to commence next month

The Prime Minister has announced that the first Parliament sitting will start on July 16th.

Speaking after the weekly Cabinet meeting, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says the top priority will be to repeal several laws. 

This includes the GST Act, and the Anti-Fake News Act.

Tun Dr Mahathir also says that his remaining Cabinet ministers, including the Foreign Minister, will be announced by next week at the latest.

He also mentioned that a task force will be set up to review the country's education system, from kindergarten right up to university level.

The task force, comprising of non-govt experts will look into the education system in other countries to find ways for Malaysia to improve.
