Malaysia continues more talks with Japan

Jun 18, 2018

Malaysia will cooperate with Japan on disaster management.

Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail says Japan is willing to share its expertise in managing disasters.

She says the country's National Disaster Management Agency could learn from the training and sharing of knowledge, such as early warning technologies and advanced planning.

They also discussed other areas of possible collaboration such as managing an aging population, education and women empowerment.

Separately, the Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah says Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad may announce the new cabinet members by the end of the week.
