KPDNKK starts monitoring prices ahead of the GE14 campaign period

The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry has begun to monitor prices of goods ahead of the GE14 campaign period, which starts on Saturday.
It says a special unit has been set up, to take action against errant traders and hawkers, who raise the price of goods during the election.
The Ministry, together with 600 village and neighbourhood heads, have conducted inspections on more than 2000 premises in Peninsular Malaysia, with over 100 cases of profiteering.
