Apr 19, 2018

The Health director general says the man who died in police custody at the Shah Alam central lock-up, suffered from fever, stomach-ache, diarrhoea and lack of appetite for four days.

He had fallen unconscious on Tuesday, and was immediately brought to hospital before being confirmed dead.

The exact cause of his death is still unknown, pending a post-mortem report.

He was arrested some three weeks ago under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act, or SOSMA, outside his child's school.
