Maszlee denies threatening Uni VCs

The Education Minister has denied threatening vice-chancellors who are loyal to Barisan Nasional.

In responding to criticisms from former Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, Dr Mazslee Malik confirmed the meeting did take place, but there were no threats.

"Saya tidak memberi amaran, cuma saya menawarkan kod supaya mereka meletak jawatan tanpa diambil tindakan jika mereka tidak boleh melaksanakan agenda reformasi. Tetapi saya rakin bilangan ini tidak ramai."

Dr Mazslee said this proved his point that some VCs were still in contact with BN, as Idris Jusoh was not supposed to know about the private meeting.
