Smoking Ban To Exclude Vape and Shisha

Vaping and shisha smoking are not included in the smoking ban at all restaurants and eateries nationwide.

However, the Health Ministry is still in talks to include these two in the regulation.

Its Minister says the ban, which will take effect next year, will only involve tobacco products for the time being.

Field Women In Rantau By-Election

PKR's Zuraida Kamaruddin wants the party to field a female candidate to contest in the upcoming Rantau by-election.

She says this is because there were no female candidates from PKR in Negri Sembilan during GE14.

This comes after the Election Court nullified the outcome of the Rantau seat in GE14 and ordered a by-election to be held.

The then Negeri MB Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan won the seat uncontested after PKR's Dr S. Streram was controversially barred from filing his nomination papers.

1MDB Probe Reaching Its Conclusion

Police are expecting investigations into 1MDB to be fully completed within the next two months.

The deputy IGP says they are in the midst of compiling all evidence to be handed over to the Attorney-General for further action.
