13 MPs have yet to declare their assets with the MACC

13 Members of Parliament have yet to declare their assets with the MACC, in accordance with Pakatan Harapan's election promise.

Among them, are PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, and Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faisal Azumu. 

It comes as the MACC is pushing for a new law, that would make it compulsory for ALL elected officials to declare their assets.

The law is expected to be tabled in April.

Separately, the government is considering implementing a new set of KPIs for the civil service. 

The Chief Secretary to the Govermment told the NST, the new KPI's would take more aspects into account, including public perception.

However, he adds that these changes have yet to be finalised.

Police will be calling up the organisers of Saturday's ICERD rally to explain reports that children were present at the event.

The cops say allowing kids at the rally is an offence under the Peaceful Assembly Act, with offenders liable to be fined up to 20 thousand ringgit.

And, two new suspected rabies cases have been detected in Sarawak. 

Officials say one patient is still being treated, while another has passed away, adding that they're waiting for lab tests to confim the infections.
