It’s Thaipusam weekend…

So you can definitely expect KL to be more congested than usual, as 1.5 million Hindu pilgrims and tourists from all around the region are expected to participate in this year’s festivities at Batu Caves.

You’re probably thinking of excuses (traffic jams) not to go, right?

#1 Waze’s prediction for the best and the worst times to drive in KL

If you’re looking to avoid heavy traffic on your way to KL, here are your best bets on what time to head out:

On Sunday, January 20^th, you wouldn’t want to be driving between 10am and 11am. It’ll be better at night from 7pm to 11pm.

Now Monday, January 21^st, is the main day of celebrations. So it’s best not to head out between 4am and 5am. There’ll be less people out at night between 8pm and 9pm.
