The govt has managed to reduce the cost of the LRT3 project by almost half.
The Finance MInister says it will now cost some 15 billion ringgit.
According to Lim Guan Eng, the govt managed to slash the cost after it realised that the project's original capacity far exceeded demand for the next 20 years.
However, he assured that the lower cost will NOT compromise on its quality of its service or capacity.
The LRT 3 line, which will connect Bandar Utama in PJ and Johan Setia in Klang, is expected to be operational by 2024.
