58 people escaped unharmed from burning ferry in Langkawi

58 people escaped unharmed after a ferry they were on caught fire in Langkawi yesterday. 

Survivor Sufinas Shuib told Astro Awani, it was a terrifying experience...

There were 6 children among the passengers onboard the ferry when the engine room burst into flames, just 10 minutes after it left the jetty. 

Bomba is investigating the incident and will find out whether the ferry operator followed all safety and emergency procedures.

Stay hydrated in the hot weather

Drink more water, be careful when you're outdoors and don't practice open burning. 

The Met Department has issued more advice for M'sians as the weather is expected to get worse over the next few days. 

Yesterday, it said 10 areas in the Peninsular, including Kepong and KL, will experience temperatures of up to 37 degrees celcius the next 3 days. 

Malaysia and China still in talks over ECRL project

Malaysia and China are still negotiating the price of the ECRL project.

The PM says the government will not agree to the deal unless the RM55 billion price tag is reduced considerably.

Tun M says the loan will take 30 years to settle, at which point the cost will amount to RM140 billion after interest.
