There's no such thing as 'zero downpayment' when buying a car

Did you have to fork out a 10% downpayment for your new car? Well, you should have. 

Selangor authorities recently found several new and used car dealers in the state were offering zero downpayment schemes for vehicles.

It says that's not allowed as the downpayment proves the buyer can afford the monthly repayments.

1.2 million people subscribed to broadband last year, that's an 8-fold jump from 2017.

The government thinks it's because of the push on telcos to increase speeds and lower prices. 

Voters might soon be able to vote in his or her place of residence

You might not have to travel back to your hometown to vote soon...

...as the Electoral Reform Committee is considering making it compulsory for Malaysians to vote where they live. 

Voters register according to the address on their MyKads, but not everyone will switch to their new address when they work in other states. 

The ERC says Kelantan and Terengganu has the highest number of voters living in other states, but voting in their hometowns - that's 60,000 people for each state.

It lamented that's not accurate and shouldn't happen.
