Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 1MDB trial will finally begin on May 14th.

The KL High Court has fixed 14 days of hearing for the former PM's case.

This is Najib's second trial after the SRC International trial, which began on Wednesday.

The 66-year-old is facing 4 charges under the MACC Act and 21 charges of money-laundering involving 2.2 billion ringgit.

3 districts in Johor hit with water disruptions due to ammonia pollution in Sungai Sayong

3 districts in Johor have been hit with water disruptions due to the high-level of ammonia pollution found in Sungai Sayong.

The districts are JB, Kulai and parts of Kota Tinggi.

State officials say water treatment plants had to be shut down as they could not process raw water due to high levels of ammonia.

It was reported that a reservoir at a bio-composite centre in Sedenak had burst, causing the ammonia-contaminated water to flow into Sungai Sayong.

EC says Sandakan by-election on May 11th

The Sandakan parliamentary by-election will be on the 11th of May! 

The Election Commission says nomination day will be on the 27th of April. 

The seat fell vacant following incumbent Datuk Stephen Wong's sudden death last week, reportedly due to a heart attack.
