The Transport Ministry has yet to receive any request to rename KLIA as Sepang International Airport.

As such, it says the name of Malaysia’s main airport will remain.

According to a recently-leaked document, the proposal to rename the KLIA was made made during a Selangor state exco meeting last year.

The Malay Mail says an exco member confirmed that such a proposal was made, but nothing has been decided yet.
