Traders have been warned not to hike up the prices of water containers!

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says it's not going to tolerate any profiteering, as people rush to stock up on water ahead of tomorrow's 4-day disruption in the Klang Valley.

Meanwhile, Air Selangor, SYABAS says it's doing everything it can to supply water to people during this time.

This includes deploying water tankers to residential areas.

While static tanks will be placed at strategic locations, like hospitals and clinics to make sure they have enough supply.

Authorities earlier said that the water cut is due to repair works at a water treament plant in Selangor.

Plastic waste is now being smuggled into Malaysia, from countries like UK, Australia and the US.

The government is investigating the syndicates behind the smuggling and assured that action will be taken against them.
