MACC's NFA files to be reviewed

Jul 24, 2019

The MACC is digging up old cases that have been closed or marked "no further action", NFA.

Chief Latheefa Koya says she'll go through all of them, especially those involving VIPs.

"I've summoned and called for all the files which involves controversial figures. I need to go through it and I need to understand why was it closed, if was it really NFAed for the right reasons."

However, she said there's no need to reopen Lim Guan Eng's case, when he got into trouble for buying a bungalow for below market value, while he was Penang Chief Minister.

Latheefa said the case had been tried in court and completed.
