MACC's NFA files to be reviewed

The MACC is digging up old cases that have been closed or marked "no further action", NFA.
Chief Latheefa Koya says she'll go through all of them, especially those involving VIPs.
"I've summoned and called for all the files which involves controversial figures. I need to go through it and I need to understand why was it closed, if was it really NFAed for the right reasons."
However, she said there's no need to reopen Lim Guan Eng's case, when he got into trouble for buying a bungalow for below market value, while he was Penang Chief Minister.
Latheefa said the case had been tried in court and completed.

UMNO-PAS alliance lives on
UMNO and PAS will not contest against each other in state and parliament seats come GE15.
UMNO's Secretary-General confirmed the news to The Star, saying the two parties have agreed to the pact, and will sign a charter latest by September.
This is to ensure straight fights between the ruling Pakatan Harapan government and the two parties in Malay-majority seats in the next general election.

Visit Malaysia 2020 logo stays
Regardless of what anyone else says about the new Visit Malaysia Year 2020 logo, the government is keeping it.
Plagiarism allegations have been flying about the contest-winning logo, and a doctored version of it has even gone viral, but Tourism Minister Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi insists the logo stays, saying...
"We've decided to keep it because those criticisms are baseless, not smart ones, So, just ignore them."
