Nursery owner arrested after toddler drowns in bucket

A nursery owner in Shah Alam has been arrested after a 9-month-old boy drowned in a bucket of water in a toilet of the nursery.

Police confirmed that there were no sign of physical abuse on the boy and are investigating the case for negligence.

CUEPACS praises Cabinet's move to revive allowance payment to govt interns

CUEPACS has praised the Cabinet's move to reintroduce allowance payments for govt interns.

However, it says govt departments will need a higher budget allocation to make this possible.

The Youth and Sports Minister had been pushing for the move, since he said not many students can afford to work for free. 

We are moving one step closer to having a device to help mute people to speak!

Scientists in China have developed a new wearable device, that can translate the movements of the throat into sound. 

The skin-like device, which is about double the size of a thumbnail, is worn over the throat, and so far it;s able to translate simple words like YES or NO. 

The scientists hope that in the future, it will be able to translate more complex speech patterns.
