Soon, you won't see foreign workers at launderettes and hair dressers

The goverment is planning to discontinue the hiring of foreigners for service sub-sectors like laundry, textile, hair dressing and goldsmith businesses in stages until 2021.
This is to give more job opportunities to locals.
The government will also look into the demand for foreigners in the warehousing sector, following suggestions from the Transport Ministry.

Cabinet to table B40 petrol subsidy
The government will announce the implementation of the targeted petrol subsidy for the B40 group soon.
A joint paper between the Domestic Trade Ministry and the Finance Ministry has already been finalised, and will be tabled in Cabinet soon.
