MACC says data shows almost half of graft detainees from civil service

The MACC has expressed concern after it revealed that civil servants make up almost half of over 4 thousand individuals arrested for graft, from 2014 up to June this year.
It says one in five civil servants are willing to be corrupt if they have power or position.
The MACC adds that youth aged 40 and below make up over half the number of detainees.
Najib's 1MDB trial postponed to next Monday
Datuk Seri Najib Razak's 1MDB trial, which was supposed to begin today, has been postponed to next Monday!
The prosecution requested for this because they have not completed their questioning and have yet to serve witness statements to 12 people.
The former Prime Minister is facing 25 corruption and money laundering charges involving funds from 1MDB.
Singapore to raise retirement age
Singapore is set to gradually raise its retirement age by three years to 65, to allow Singaporeans to be financially independent longer.
Its Prime Minister says the retirement age will rise to 63 in 2022 and to 65 by 2030.
The Republic will also raise its re-employment age from 67 to 70.
