The government will study a claim made by a United Nations rep on the poverty rate in the country.

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says they will review the poverty line if it is necessary to do so.

He also claimed that the country's true poverty rate was about 15%.

Changes to driving test method needed to implement e-testing

The Transport Ministry is making changes to the existing driving licence test method, to enable the implementation of e-testing.

It says the existing method requires a JPJ officer to be next to the student, but with e-testing, monitoring will be done online as an automated process,  with CCTVs and cables.

The Ministry also encouraged driving institutes to submit their own e-testing system proposal to avoid monopoly.
