Bad sleep habits are also bad for the heart?

New research in the UK and US suggests that getting enough sleep is vital to maintaining a healthy heart, even for people with a genetic predisposition to heart disease. 

The researchers found those who sleep less than six hours a night are have a 20% higher risk of getting a heart attack, compared to those who have 6 to 9 hours sleep per night.

And getting too much sleep is also bad.. as those who sleep for more than nine hours are 34% more likely to suffer a heart attack.

No extension on deadline for e-hailing drivers to get PSV license

Over 55 thousand e-hailing drivers have gotten their Public Service Vehicle Licences.

The Transport Ministry also says it will not extend the deadline for e-hailing drivers to get the necessary qualification. 

Oct 12 is the new deadline for these drivers to apply and sit for the test for PSV licence.

The Fire and Rescue Dept says ithas successully plugged an amonia gas leak at a chicken processing factory in Melaka, and the surrounding area is confirmed safe.  

The leak had forced some 33 in the area to be taken to hospital, due to breathing difficulties and vomitting.

Meanwhile, UPSR candidates in 3 schools in Melaka that were affected by the ammonia leak yesterday, will sit for the exam at their respective schools tomorrow.

They had to take today's papers at other schools.
