No one's out to get Prabakaran

Nov 18, 2019

KL police have ruled out sabotage, after Batu MP P. Prabakaran's car was pelted with eggs last Friday.

City police chief commissioner, Datuk Mazlan Lazim said:

"He's got no other issues. It's just that people have been asking him to step down recently. This is not a security issue."

The egg-pelting issue happened after Malaysia's youngest MP refused to trigger a by-election and give way to his seat's incumbent, Tian Chua.

Many Opposition MPs yet to declare assets

Many Opposition MPs have yet to declare their assets.

Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon said most of them are BN MPs.

Back in July, Parliament voted that all MPs must declare their assets before October 1st or be referred to the Parliament's Rights and Priviledges Committee.

The declaration must include the assets and income of the MP, their spouses, children below 21 and trustees.
