Company responsible for wrong Jalur Gemilang graphic to be called up

Police have new leads in their probe into the use of the wrong Jalur Gemilang at a local basketball tournament recently.

They've now identified the local company that was contracted by the Malaysian Basketball Association to handle the graphics for the flag at the opening ceremony.

Company officials will soon be contacted for a statement, to find out how they ended up using the wrong flag.

Cops look into how Chin Peng's ashes were brought back

Police are now investigating how the ashes of former Communist Party of Malaya leader Chin Peng was brought into the country recently.

Bukit Aman says its liaising with Perak police to get more info, adding that several reports have been lodged over the matter, by those who are unhappy that the remains were brought back.

Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says aside from the issue of public sentiment, the act of bringing the ashes in was also not done according to the proper procedures.

DBKL to look into city's underground utility lines amid sinkhole woes

The KL City Hall will be calling for an inter-agency study on the city's underground utility lines, in the wake of three sinkhole incidents in as many days this week.

It told The Star, KL does not have a proper underground mapping system at the moment, making it difficult to predict when underground pipes could burst and cause another sinkhole incident.
