There are still about 12,500 flood evacuees nationwide, with over 90 percent of them in Kelantan.

Three people have died in floods in the state so far, with the latest case being a man in his 50s who was electrocuted while trying to wade through flood waters to pluck fruit from a tree.

Meanwhile, in Rantau Panjang, a 4-year-old girl almost died of internal bleeding after a leech entered her body while she was playing in flood waters.
